Food Services

All enrolled students of Elmsford UFSD are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost to your household each day of the school year. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. Please complete an Education Benefit Application to be eligible for reduced Technology replacement rates and reduced AP exam fees.

Balances in MySchoolBucks will be available to your student for snacks and/or extra meals.

Accounts should still be funded for additional meals, snacks and extras.

If you are carrying a negative balance, the funds will remain outstanding and be collected.

Please use this opportunity to reduce any outstanding balance due.

Thank you for helping us support healthy children.

Here are other resources for families seeking food assistance for children in their household:

  • The USDA Meals for Kids Site Finder helps families quickly and easily find summer meal sites near them, where children can eat meals at no-cost.
  • The USDA National Hunger Hotline, operated by Hunger Free America, connects people with food assistance in their nearby communities. The hotline can be reached Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET at 1-866-3-HUNGRY (1-866-348-6479) (for English) or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (1-877-842-6273) (for Spanish).

Requests for food service account balance refunds should be emailed to the District Treasurer at hhohlfeld@eufsd.org. The request should include the name of the person to whom the check will be written and the address where the check will be mailed. The request should also include the name and grade level of the student.

The Board of Education recognizes that on occasion, students may forget to bring meal money to school. To ensure that students do not go hungry while also promoting fiscal responsibility, the Board will allow students who may forget meal money to “charge” the cost of meals to be paid back at a later date.

Please refer to the terms in Charging School Meals Policy 8505 which can be found in the Elmsford UFSD ePolicy Manual.
