Principal's Corner

Dear Elmsford School Community,

I am truly honored to introduce myself as the Interim Principal of Carl L. Dixson Primary School. While my role is temporary as the district conducts a thorough search for a permanent principal, I am excited to step into this leadership position and work closely with all of you to continue supporting the growth and success of our students and school community.

With 10 years of experience in education, I bring a diverse background in various roles, including Master Special Education Teacher, General Education Teacher, and Special Education Coordinator. Before this year, I spent three years at Carl L. Dixson Primary School, first as a 1st Grade teacher in an ENL classroom and later as the CSE/CPSE Chairperson for the Elmsford Union Free School District. This year, I transitioned into the role of Assistant Principal at both Carl L. Dixson Primary School and Alice E. Grady Elementary School. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As Interim Principal, I am dedicated to preserving the values and traditions that make Carl L. Dixson Primary School such a special place while also embracing opportunities for growth and improvement. I firmly believe in the importance of a strong partnership between home and school in ensuring our students' success. I welcome open communication, collaboration, and your valuable input, and I look forward to working together to create the best possible learning environment for our students.

In the coming weeks and months, I will take the time to engage with the community, learn more about what makes Carl L. Dixson Primary School unique, and understand the needs and aspirations that will guide us moving forward. I am excited to be part of this journey with all of you and contribute to the positive impact we can continue to make together.
