Principal's Corner

Dear Elmsford Community,

It is with great excitement and heartfelt appreciation that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Carl L. Dixson Primary School. I am honored to join a school and district with such a strong reputation for academic excellence, dedicated educators, and a deeply connected community.

I bring twenty-seven years of experience in education with me. Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as the Director of the Universal Pre-K program at the Garrison Union Free School District. A significant portion of my career has been centered on early childhood education, and I am deeply passionate about laying strong foundations for our youngest learners.

Throughout the years, I have come to believe that early education is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape a child’s future. At Carl L. Dixson Primary School, I look forward to working in partnership with our dedicated staff, families, and community members to create a nurturing and engaging environment where every child is empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am genuinely excited to begin this new journey with you. Carl L. Dixson holds a special place in Elmsford, and I am committed to honoring its legacy while helping lead it into a bright and inspiring future. My door is always open, and I welcome your thoughts, questions, and partnership as we embark on this exciting new chapter together.

Laslty, I would like to invite all parents to join me on Thursday, August 28th at 10:15 AM for a casual coffee meet-and-greet. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect, ask questions, and afford us the opportunity to meet one another before the start of the school year. I hope to see you there!
